Motel ruins at San Jon; 2001

Another former Route 66 tourist court bites the dust. The motel rooms are to the rear of this building, which apparently was a combined "gas station", grocery store and tourist court office. It faces Route 66, which at this location (between Glenrio and San Jon) is gravel.
