Cadillac Ranch; 2005

Cadillac Ranch; 2005

The "Cadillac Ranch" is a group of ten vintage Cadillacs, buried nose down in the Texas dirt a few miles west of Amarillo along former Route 66 which parallels I-40 at this point, making the group easily visible from an automobile. The burial grounds make for an interesting stop for a photo op, as they say. The art form was the concept of Stanley Marsh III, who buried them in 1974.
